The truth about hiring a good freelance copywriter (like me).
It's 2026 and cheap copywriting is easier to produce than ever before. So here's why hiring a freelance copywriter beats a $20 AI subscription:
Process
Phase 1: Research & Strategy.
I dive into your competitors, customers, sales data, and past campaigns to understand the gaps in your current messaging. Whether through team interviews or customer data, the goal is to learn your business so well that the copy sounds like it was written by your top salesperson—not an outside freelancer.
Phase 2: Drafting, Building & Revisions.
Unlike other website copywriters, I understand the technical side of web design. This eliminates the "telephone game" between your writer and your developer. You have two ways to work with me:
- Copy only. I deliver conversion-focused copy in a structured Google Doc with strategic reasoning in the margins. You get clear, logic-backed messaging that your team can implement immediately.
- Copy + Build. I write the copy and build the page myself. This is the fastest route to ROI—nothing gets lost in translation, and your landing page goes live exactly how it was designed to convert.
Phase 3: Launch & Follow-up.
Once your copy goes live, I review the published page to catch formatting issues, layout misalignments, or anything that got lost between the doc and the site. Most projects run 3–6 weeks from kickoff to launch.
Who I work with
I specialize in high-stakes B2B copy where trust is the primary currency. I’m a perfect fit if you operate in:
- SaaS: Turning complex features into landing pages and onboarding flows that actually convert.
- Manufacturing: Capability statements and technical content that sounds human, not like a manual.
- Healthcare: Clear, compliant messaging for B2B services—zero robotic jargon.
- Professional Services: Helping agencies and specialist firms sound like the experts they are.
My sweet spot: Founder-led businesses ($1M–$20M revenue), lean marketing teams, and service-based companies that have a great reputation but an underperforming website.
Who I’m NOT for: Pre-revenue startups looking for a "quick fix" or Fortune 500s looking for a 10-person agency. If you're anywhere in the middle, we should talk.
Pricing
I never write by the hour
I’ve productized my services into clear deliverables with transparent prices because you aren't paying for my time; you’re paying for the outcome my words generate.
I price projects based on the economic value I create. For example: if optimizing a landing page increases your conversions from 1% to 2% and adds $150k in annual sales, a 10% fee for that lift is a fair exchange. It ensures I’m focused on moving your needle, not just filling space with words. If there’s no clear path to an ROI for you, I’m not the right hire.
My minimum project fee for website copy starts at $3,500 USD, and one-off landing page projects start at $1,500.
I won’t edit your AI slop
Since AI commoditized copywriting, I’ve seen a spike in people asking me to "touch up" robotic drafts. They hope that pre-produced text unlocks a "budget" rate for a quick edit.
Good copywriting doesn’t work like that.
I still have to research, revise, and reimagine the strategy behind every sentence. Cleaning up AI slop is often more painstaking than starting from scratch, and it rarely delivers the ROI you're looking for. I’m here to build high-performing assets, while serving as your human-in-the-loop, not your scapegoat when AI writing fails.
The bottom line
I’m not a commodity writer; I’m a B2B strategist who understands the technical side of web design. I work best with businesses that have a great reputation but a website that isn't pulling its weight. If you're looking for the cheapest quote, I'm not your guy. If you're looking for a partner to help you scale—I'm your guy.
The alternative?
There are no alternatives
I’ve been writing copy since 2017 and I have no intention of stopping until either I'm dead or I get my hands and tongue removed for revealing "too much truth."
You can hire an agency and pay for their overhead, or you can buy a bot and pay with your reputation. But if you want a partner who knows the B2B game and isn't afraid to tell you when your ideas are costing you money—there is only one option (*cough cough* Me!)..
